Workshop “ Family Finance for Female Farmers in Son La”

On December 23rd, IWCA Vietnam successfully hosted a workshop on “Family Finance for Female Farmers” in Son La province. The event attracted 15 female coffee growers who are directly involved in local coffee production.

With the enthusiastic support of experts, the female farmersgrasped many pivotal skills for administering family finances, brainstorming effective ways to boost revenue streams like growing fruit trees and developing community-based ecotourism. This marks an vital step in elevating the role and status of women in families and society.

In an energetic and positive atmosphere, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhung, a lecturer in Economics at Hoa Binh University, shared invaluable insights on managing income, expenditures, and investments at the household level. The women learned how to craft financial plans, save, invest and utilize capital efficiently to enhance incomes and stabilize livelihoods.

IWCA Vietnam pledges to continually host meaningful activities that empower female coffee growers to excel in agriculture and household economic governance.
