IWCA Vietnam is honored to accompany Vietnam Coffee Challenge 2022 on the journey to build a playground for young baristas to exchange, learn, perfect their skills and nurture the love of Vietnamese coffee.
Coffee connoisseurs often say that the profession of a barista is “the last 10 steps in 10,000 steps of efforts to reach consumers”. In order for those last steps to bring about perfect results, baristas need to constantly practice, learn every day to improve themselves, as well as become more brave in domestic and foreign competitions. That’s why Vietnam Coffee Event organizes the internal contest Vietnam Coffee Challenge 2022.
Taking place from July to November nationwide, Vietnam Coffee Challenge 2022 promises to be a place to create, exchange, learn and connect the coffee-making community across Vietnam. At the same time, the contest contributes to spreading love and promoting many Vietnamese coffee bean products to the public. Especially the “coffee lovers”. The representative of Vietnam Coffee Event affirmed that this will be a fair and objective challenge for young baristas.
This year, the coffee arena is held in 3 areas: Hanoi (May), Da Nang (August) and Ho Chi Minh City (November). The arena has 3 competitions: Pour Challenge (art of decorating coffee). Brew Challenge (the art of making coffee). Roast Challenge (the art of roasting coffee).
This year’s jury members are all faces who have achieved high rankings in domestic and foreign barista competitions, in addition to many industry experts.
With the content of Pour Challenge and Brew Challenge taking place in Hanoi. The first prize in the region received 10 million VND, trophy, certificate and gifts from sponsors. The second prize in the region received VND 2 million, certificates and gifts worth VND 750,000 from The LoveLy Cup O’Coffee and gifts from sponsors. The third prize in the region received 1 million VND, certificates, gifts worth 750,000 VND from The LoveLy Cup O’Coffee and gifts from sponsors; 5 consolation prizes receive certificates and gifts from sponsors.
