On February 21st, IWCA Vietnam was honored to host a visit from the GAC team to the Son La coffee growing area. During the visit, team members had the opportunity to engage with female coffee farmers from the network, listening to their stories about the unique culture and methods of growing and caring for coffee trees.
The team also experienced riding motorbikes to explore the expansive coffee hills in Mai Son district. Throughout the journey, they were captivated by fascinating stories related to the processes of growing, tending, and harvesting coffee.
One notable story came from Ms. Dan, a student who had previously participated in the ecotourism training course organized by IWCA Vietnam. She shared her confidence gained from the training in introducing the culture of the Thai ethnic group to visiting guests, expressing that this was her second time leading a tour group since attending the training class.
This meaningful experience left a profound impression on each team member about the Son La coffee land. IWCA Vietnam looks forward to organizing more practical activities to promote the values and culture of Vietnamese coffee within the community.
