On November 28th, 2023, IWCA Vietnam organized an intriguing workshop called “Listen to Coffee Beans Talking.” The workshop was a success with the participation of 18 invited guests.

This activity was part of the “Empowerment and Development for Female Coffee Farmers on Workplace Safety and Health in Mai Son District, Son La Province” project within the framework of cooperation between IWCA Vietnam and the Starbucks Foundation.

At the workshop, we were honored to have the presence of coffee quality assessment expert Mr. Pham Hong Thieu, who has over 10 years of experience in the field. Thanks to his extensive expertise, Mr. Thieu shared valuable information regarding the origins, processing methods, and unique qualities of Son La’s arabica coffee beans.

Notably, the attendees were guided by the expert to taste 5 different samples of Arabica coffee. Through this, the guests gained a deep appreciation of the characteristic flavors as well as the stories behind an original cup of Son La Arabica coffee.
